1. How long does it take to decorate my concrete?
Size and detail will determine duration. The normal process takes 4-6 days to complete
2. How long will decorative concrete last?
If properly maintained, your decorative concrete should last the life of the concrete.
3. How does the cost of decorative concrete compare to other flooring options such as tile, hardwood, or carpet?
Decorating your concrete is less expensive than installation of traditional flooring choices. Pricing will vary on location, size, pattern, colors, etc.
4. Can brand new concrete be stained?
Yes. New concrete must be allowed to cure before staining/engraving. The curing process normally takes 30-45 days.
5. Can old concrete be decorated?
Sure can. Old concrete can look just as good as and sometimes better than new concrete.
6. Will the color fade in decorative concrete?
Nothing is impervious to the suns UV rays. Fade? Maybe a little. Many times a color become darker. Changes in the color of stain outside are very slow and span many years, especially if they are maintained with a clear sealer.
7. After time, can I change the color of my stained concrete?
Depending on customers wishes and products used, there are multiple ways to change the color and appearance of an existing job.
1. What is epoxy?
Epoxies are polymer materials that begin life as liquids and are converted to a solid by a chemical reaction.
2. Is it difficult to maintain/clean my Epoxy floor?
Epoxy floors are non-porous. They are relatively easy to clean because contaminants cannot penetrate the surface, they stay on top. Using hand or mechanical scrubbing units; high-pressure water or steam equipment or mopping will usually give very clean epoxy floors. Epoxy floors will not be affected by most cleaning compounds if they are used properly and the floors rinsed thoroughly afterwards.
3. Are epoxy surfaces skid resistant?
Yes. Most epoxy surfaces are textured.
4. How long do I need to wait to have epoxy floor covering applied to new concrete?
You should wait a minimum of 28 days.
5. Can I add design to my epoxy floor?
The beauty of epoxy flooring can be enhanced and personalized by using colors. Options included colored chips to provide glitter, decorative stains, and artwork and decals laminated into these attractive floors.
